Soldier – Linley, Harry – Never Complains

October 1941

Mexborough & Swinton Times – Saturday 18 October 1941

Never since joining the Forces 18 months ago, has a word of complaint been heard from Harry Linley, of 8, George Street, Low Valley.

He makes the best of everything and is consequently happy. He is stationed overseas, but enjoyed a leave a few weeks ago. Lately he has been working on a farm, and describes the experience as fine. It certainly was a change from his former work at Darfield Main Colliery.

Harry sometimes meets Jimmy Kaye, an old Low Valley pal.
