Trained In Africa

Jack Picton, brother of Mrs. F. Gladman of Edward Street, Darfield, is now a Sergeant Observer, having qualified in South Africa.

An old Wathonian, Jack, who is 24, formerly worked at Wath Glass Works.

He has visited Johannesburg Cathedral, where he stayed to a celebration of Holy Communion.

Returning to England just before Christmas, he is now flying in a Stirling. He transferred to the R.A.F. from the Royal Engineers.
