Hopes To Be Signaller

Herbert Steer (18 ½), son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Steer, Garden Street, Darfield, has joined up and is training in Scotland.  He was vey anxious to join an air crew, but now hopes to get into the Royal Corps of Signals.

He was prominently associated youth organisations at Darfield, being e member of the Youth Club, A.T.C. and Church Bible Class.

He was employed in the butchering department of the Barnsley British Cooperative Society.
