Sailor’s Verses
Lawerence Paradine, of Darfield, joined the Navy about twelve months ago and has recently enjoyed a leave at home.
Before joining up he worked in the weigh offices at Houghton Main Colliery. Lawrence likes the Navy, and while in the Forces has started writing poetry.
Once appropriate piece written about various members of his crew was pinned up for all the crew to enjoy.
