A.T.S. Naval Promotion

News reached Coun. and Mrs. R. Randerson, of New County Road, Darfield, recently that their son, Chief Petty Officer William Arthur Randerson, had been promoted Senior Engine Room Artificer in his ship.

He joined the Navy nearly seven years ago, and has seen service in such great vessels as the Warspite and Royal Sovereign. Petty Officer Randerson is 25.

He was last home on leave nearly a year ago. His two rothers are both in the Forces, Seaman Frank Randerson has been In the Navy for three years, and Fred Randerson is doing “his bit” in the R.A.F.
