Here is a picture of Sergt. John Chalmers (23), of 40, Pitt Street, Low Valley, a Wireless Operator/Air Gunner, who, as reported in our columns a fortnight ago, has been awarded the D.F.M.

The award has been made as a consequence of Sergt. Chalmer’s gallantry in helping to bring home a damaged Lancaster bomber.
