Attendance Record
Mary Lincoln, aged 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lincoln, School Street, has just completed a remarkable record at the National School.
She has attended eight years without a day off, and has recently been transferred to the Wombwell Middle School. She has also set up a record at the Parish Church Sunday School by having attended every Sunday for eight years.
These facts were disclosed at a Sunday school prize distribution on Monday, when Mary was awarded a special prize for 492 attendances (full marks) during the year.
She was also presented with a “first,” which brings her total to eight first prizes.
