Maurice Bray, who scored 58 not out for Darfield’s second team against Brampton, is one of Darfield’s promising young players.
He is a son of Ted Bray, a former captain. Bray is also a useful footballer and last season assisted Darfield Church.
Brampton, thanks chiefly to an eight wicket stand of 58 by E. Smith, made 145, and Darfield passed this total five minutes off time with nine wickets down. Both sides made some bad fielding mistakes.
