After many years County Councillor John Robinson, Park Cottage, Wombwell, who has represented the Wombwell and Darfield area of the West Riding for many years, has decided not to contest the sent at the forthcoming election.

There will be only two candidates. Mr. Alfred E. Allott, chairman of the Wombwell Urban Council, and Mr. Tom H. Foulstone, a member of the Darfield Council.

Mr Robinson is approaching 60 years of age, and is still actively engaged in public work.
