Darfield and Air Raid Precautions
At Darfield Urban Council meeting last night, during a discussion on air raid precautions, Mr. A. Colllndrldge criticised precautions on two grounds; first, he contended that the Government should bear the whole the cost, and, secondly, the measures proposed were unsuitable for Darfleld.
He said It was impossible to gasproof houses such as they had Darfleld and consideration should be given to the construction bombproof shelters.
The minutes authorising the arrangements were passed.
