Darfield Miner’s Suicide
Patrick McGrath. miner (52), of Providence Street, Low Valley, Darfield, was found dead in a sitting position in a cabin at the Midland Railway on Sunday morning, and at the inquest yesterday a verdict was returned of poisoning.
When found bv platelayer, deceased had four bottles which had contained laudanum by his side.
When deceased left his lodgings on Saturday told his landlady not to get his dinner ready so soon, as he would not back for some time.
