Empire Day at Darfield

Empire Day was celebrated in the usual manner in Darfield. Children from the Infant Council and Darfield Church schools assembled in the cricket field and sang patriotic songs.

Most of the children carried small Union Jacks, and in accordance with custom each child was presented with a bun by Mrs. C. H. Taylor of Middlewood Hall.
