Buroughs – Millsom
Large crowds assembled at Darfield Parish Church on Monday for the marriage of Miss Amelia Millsom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Millsom, 19 Park View, Millhouses, and Mr. Herbert Arthur Burroughs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burroughs (Sheffield), Canon Sorby officiating.
The bride wore white satin bemire with cowl collar, and a richly embroidered net veil which formed a short train, was held in position by a Juliet cap of orange blossom.
She carried blush pink roses. The maids were Misses Nellie Millsom and Mamie Burroughs in floral georgette with frills, lemon crinoline picture hats with pale green trimmings, and bouquets of tea roses; Clare Pugsley and Betty Millsom in Victorian gowns of peach georgette, with matching Juliet caps; and Vera Millsom in pale green with green Juliet cap. Each carried a Victorian posy of carnations.
The best man and groomsman were Messrs. C. Burroughs (Sheffield) and Eric Millsom.
