Tied Up – Mitchell’s Go For 60
Mitchell’s 60 Darfield 63 for 2
A dull, cold day faced Darfield for their first match on Saturday against Mitchell’s. Mitchell’s were tied up by the Darfield bowlers and they fell for 60. G. Jessop and W. Jessop, father and son, made a last wicket stand, which looked like getting runs before the former was run out. D. Trickett was top scorer with 14.
A good display of 35 not out by J. Routledge, and 17 by E. Eyre. gave Darfield an easy vi./.3ry with 63 for two.
For Darfield D. Hughes took six for 22, having one spell in which he had three wickets In 4 deliveries.
