Councillor Lazenby, of Darfield.

Councillor George Lazenby of Bridge Terrace, Darfield, died at his residence yesterday morning.

He has been a member of the Darfield Urban Council for the past four years and took an active part in township affairs.

He was an enthusiastic horticulturists, and a notable prize-winner at local shows.
