Joseph Ebor Mitchell, J.P.. Upper wood Hall. Barfield, a well-known mining engineer South Yorkshire, died yesterday.

He was connected with the firm of T. ami J Mitchell, mining and civil engineers, Barnslev. Mr. Mitchell ‘s  grandfather started the Mitchell Main Colliery with which firm and the Darfield Mam Colliery the family have since been associated.

For many years Mr. Mitchell was member the Wombwell Urban District Council
