Jack Chance, cousin of Victor Stables, who resided with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. A. Stables, School Street, Darfield, is in North Africa, serving with the R.A. He is a signaller.
Before joining the Forces, he worked for the Barnsley Co-operative Society at Darfield.
He had a flair for poster work and did many posters for church and other charitable causes.
