Private J Fearons

Mrs Fearons, of College Terrace, Darfield, has received a letter from her son, Private John Fearons (York & Lancs) in which he says he will never forget the conflict of July 1st, in which he came through without a scratch, whilst his brother Corporal George Fearons, got wounded.

Private John Fearons isnow in hospital at Exeter, with septic poisoning in his legs. He enlisted about 22 months ago, and has seen service in Egypt and France. Corporal George Fearons is progressing satisfactoriliy. Previous to enlistment they both worked at Houghton Main.
