Former Aircraft Workers
Gunner Reginald Earp R.A. and Trooper Walter Earp R.A.C., sons of Mr. and Mrs. W. Earp, 95 Chaucer Road, Mexborough, are serving with the Forces in this country. Both were aircraft workers before joining up. Reginald is 26 in May , and Walter was 20 last December. Their grandfather, Thomas Goodman of 18, John Street, Mexborough, is 90. Reginald is married and his wife lives in London.
A Veteran
Gunner G. Marlow of 19, Charles Street, Goldthorpe, joined up in June 1938 and sailed for Malta in April 1938. He will have spent six years in the Army next June He has never been home since he set sail.

Gunner John Grainger, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grainger, ,of Hirstgate, Mexborough, has been abroad with the Royal Artillery since December 1942, Gunner Grainger enlisted in August, 1940, prior to which he worked at Dale Brown s, Swinton. He has just celebrated his 21st birthday.
Victor Stables (18), son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Stables of School Street, Darfield, joined the Navy about three months ago, and has recently been home on his first leave. An old boy of Wath Grammar School, he worked in the offices at Mitchell Main Colliery on leaving school. Prior to joining up he was secretary of Darfield Youth Club. Victor is a Signaller.
