Private John Rawlinson (22), who has resided with his aunts, theĀ Misses Rawlinson, at 115, Snape Hill, Darfield, is in the Lincolnshire Regiment.
Prior to joining up two years ago he was a painter and decorator. He is very comfortable at his station, and is still interested in doing water-colour paintings.
While in the Army he has met one Low Valley boy whom he knew at school, Luke Duffield.
