Learning to Cook
Thomas Singleton, of Havelock Street, Darfield, who joined the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, has now been transferred to the R. A. He joined up in March, 1940.
He is stationed in the South and is trying war time cookery recipes for he is a cook and likes his new work.
He had never done any before joining the forces, says his wife, but she intends to set him on cooking when he comes home. His little girl, Pamela May, is about 16 months old.
