Passed Birthplace

Richard Sixsmith, who drives a Bren gun carrier in the K.0.Y.L.I., celebrated his “coming of age” the other day.

His father served for four years in the same regiment in the Great War and was wounded.

Before enlistment he worked at Houghton Main Colliery, but finds Army life much more congenial than pit life.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sixsmith, of Church View, Darfield. He is stationed on the coast and the other day when out on route march, he passed for the first time (to his his knowledge) the house in which he was born.
