Mr. H Bedford & Miss J Rollinson

Miss Joan Rollinson eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Rollinson of Illsley Road, Darfield, was married at Darfield Parish Church on Saturday, to Mr. Henry Bedford, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bedford, West Ardsley, Morley.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory satin beaute with georgette sleeves and yoke.  Her long net veil, with an embroidered border, formed a train, and was attached to a halo of orange blossoms.  She carried pink chrysanthemums and fern.

her was Miss Betty Rollinson, in a mauve silk figured taffeta dress, and Miss Winifred Ashley in pale blue taffeta; Miss Peggy Sixsmith in rose pink and Miss Norma Nowell in apple green.  All wore matching floral and net head-dresses, and carried posies of pink chrysanthemums.

Mr. R. Winterburn was best man, and Mr. W. Rollinson groomsman.  Leslie Winterburn presented the bride with a silver horseshoe.

Among the gifts were sheets and a companion set from the Rev. ad Mrs. Beloe, St. Paul’s Vicarage, Morley, where the bride is employed on the domestic staff.
