Wedding – Woodcock & Bunn
The Reverend S Hankins Hardy officiated at the wedding on Boxing Day at Darfield Wesleyan Church of Miss Doris Woodcock, daughter of Mrs R Woodcock of Victoria Street, Darfield, and Mr Leonard Bunn, Doncaster Road, Wath.
Given away by her uncle, Mr. J. A. Brown, the bride wore a charming gown of oyster coloured satin, with net veil and wreath, and carried white lilies.
The bridesmaids, Misses Edna Woodcock, Elsie Bunn, Olive Carradine, and Kathleen Eason, (cousins) wore lime green satin, with coatees trimmed with marabout, and satin caps streamed with silver leaves. They also wore crystal necklace, gifts of the bridegroom.
Betty Brown and Mavis Theaker, maids of honour, wore peach colour satin in Victorian style, with satin Stream with silver leaves. They also wore crystal beads, gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Herbert Bunn was best man and Mr Ernest Sharp groomsman.
