Yorkshire Cricket – J.T. Brown – Darfield Fast Bowler
This season among the members engaged for practices at Headingley on April 15 is included JT Brown, the Darfield fast bowler.
It was on recall that Brown three years ago dislocated his right shoulder while in the act of bowling on the Taunton ground against Somerset. Since that day he has practically dropped out of the public eye, so far as first-class cricket is concerned.
Last year, however, Brown, through following his ordinary occupation as a miner, played with considerable success in club cricket in the Bolsover district, towards the close of last season he had been bowling practically as well and as fast as ever he had done.
That being the case it is to be presumed that the opportunity of renewing his connection with Yorkshire County Cricket will not be denied him
