Darfield 71 Mitchell Main 90 for 3
Darfield, who have not yet won a, point in the Mexboro’ League, had to submit to yet
Another defeat on Saturday when they were visited by their neighbours Mitchell Main, who put them very scientifically to sleep.
The Darfield batsmen could do nothing with Jim Senior, who bowled as well as ever he did in his life, and took 7 wickets for 37.
Mitchell Main replied to Darfield’s 71 with 90 for 3, Norman Kilner being again top scorer with 30, while Lilley closely approached him with 29 not out.
The only noticeable batting on the Darfield side was that of Briggs and Burkinshaw, who scored 18 and 17 respectively.
