Bridegroom’s Lost Voice.

April 1919

Bridegroom’s Lost Voice.

Mr. James Dawson, of Darfield Bridge, who was married at the Wombwell Parish Church to Miss Annie Fell, has had most distressing experience.

Serving in France for nearly four years, was gassed in May of last year and a consequence lost his voice. A short time ago he regained the faculty, but unfortunately on the day’s wedding he was again struck dumb.

Happily his voice is again partially restored. He is the son of Mrs. and the late Mr. George Dawson and has married the daughter of the chief electrician at the Cortonwood Colliery.
