Called Up

Arthur Galloway (18) of Victoria St, Darfield has now been called up and joined the army.

He reported at Pontefract six weeks ago, and has now been posted to Hampshire, and his duty will be in the clerical department.

Arthur has gained more than half a stone in six weeks of Army life.

Since leaving school, he has been engaged at the Wombwell branch of a tailoring firm.

He is a member of the Darfield Dramatic Club and has taken several small parts.
