Though reinforced by Eric Rawlin, Aldwarke made a pool show at Darfield on Wednesday, and were beaten by 90 runs.
Rawlin’s three wickets cost him 59 runs and he did nothing with the bat.
The man of the day was Jim Allen (picture), who bowled eight overs and took six wickets for 18 runs. He was held by Gale, who took three for eight in five overs.
Embly and Oliver alone shown resistance to these bowlers.
