Darfield have had only a moderate season both from a playing and financial standpoint.

The final match in the thorough League at Brampton was abandoned on Saturday owing to rain.

In the Mexborough League T. Baxter again beads the batting average. His ten innings realising 290 runs, an average of 29. He has also the highest individual score with 109 not out against Mitchell’s Main on August 15th. Baxter has also been prominent with the ball, taking 17 wickets at a cost of 10.8 runs each.

S Anderson is second on the list with an average of 19.8 runs per innings. W. Wilks 17.6, J Allen 17, R Galloway 16.1, and A. Bladon 12.6.

J Gale who has scored 52 runs has only one complete innings out of 6 visits to the crease.

Jim Allen heads the bowling average having taken 29 wickets at a little over 10 runs each. R Galloway has 24 to his credit at a cost of 14.3.
