Recruits

The outlook is quite promising at Darfield. Several new men have offered their services for the season, and it is believed there is good material among them.

In addition to playing in the Mexborough and South Yorkshire League competitions, and the “Times” Cup tournament, as usual, the club are applying for admission to the “Cutts” Cup competition – a Montagu hospital competition.

The photograph is of E Bray, the captain of the South Yorkshire League team, who is a capable all-rounder.

He formerly resided at Alkborough, Lincolnshire, and played with Normanby Park. His son, Maurice, is a promising player, who is occasionally seen in the south Yorkshire League team.
