Darfield Club Meeting.

Darfield Motor Cycle Club had a dirt track meeting on their private track at Low Valley on Sunday. The event attracted upwards of 5000 spectators.

A feature of the meeting was the fine riding of G. Kilburn (Wakefield), who wrested the Golden Gauntlet from the local rider, Charlie Ward, who had held it at the last two meetings.

The final of this event produced some good riding. Towards the end of the second lap the issue was left to Kilburn and Ward, who were riding wheel to wheel. At the close of the third lap Ward got into a skid and fell, leaving the race to Kilburn, with G. Dudding nearly half a lap behind.
