Darfield Council’s “Burning” Question

Darfield Urban District Council were occupied for a few moments last night with a burning topic.

A strong smell was traced eventually to the end of the room where the chairman was seated. To protect the members from direct heat a glass and wood screen had been placed against an open fire. This, it transpired, had got overheated and was smouldering.

The matter was rectified and business proceeded.
