Thriller Their Choice

Darfield Dramatic Club have chosen the unusual suspense thriller. “The House by the Lake”, for their opening production of the season.

I understand that out of the cast of nine players , three will be making their first appearance with the group.

Derfield Foulstone Modern School teachers Kathleen Lewis and Elwyn Owen are cast as Nurse Thompson and Col. Forbes. Kathleen and Elwyn are no strangers before the footlights for they had previously appeared in school staff place.

The other debutant is Maureen Trowbridge, who plays the role of Colin. The remainder of the cast is:

Constance Clarney (Stella), Lois Stewardson (Janet), Mary Hibbert (Brenda), Alec Clarney (Maurice), Doreen Hudson (Irish), Walter Hinchcliffe (Mrs Howard).

Mrs Jean Weston, another member of the Foulstone School staff, will be producing for the club for the first time.
