Mr S Taylor. J.P.
Again Mr Taylor is honoured with the confidence of the Darfield Urban Council; and that honour is well-deserved, for during the past year he has presided over the deliberations of the Council with judgement and tact.
Though still on the right side of 38, he has shown very great acumen in business matters.
Originally, Mr Taylor was on the clerical staff of the Houghton Main Colliery company, but later become connected with the Central Coal and Lime company, of which business he is now sole proprietor.
He was clerk to the old parochial committee and for several years held office as overseer.
He now residesĀ in Snape Hill, and takes a very lively interest in the affairs of the township, whose Councillor and Guardian he is.
This is the second year of office as chairman of the council
