The soloists are: Mr Annie Tingle (soprano), Mr Arthur Butler (tenor), Mr J.E. Harper (Bass). It is hoped that this effort will considerably help the funds of the hospital.

Mr Charles Hugill, district Locomotive Superintendent of the Great Central Railway, in giving evidence at the enquiry into the Wombwell railway disaster said that the engine driver, Wallace, was pinned underneath the engine, was in such great agony that he asked Mr Hugill that he might either be poisoned or shot.
