Obituary – Beasley

The death occurred in Sheffield Infirmary last Thursday of Mr. Emmanuel Beasley, aged 50 years.

Mr. Beasley took an active interest in the social life of Darfield and was secretary of the snape Hill Working Men’s Club for five years.  He was also a member of the local branch of R.A.O.B. and the British Legion.

He was employed at Houghton Main and had resided in the district all his life. During the war he served with the first Barnsley Battalion.

The funeral took place at Darfield on Sunday.
