Official Retires
At a meeting of the Dearne Water Board at Wombwell last night it was stated that the services of the clerk, Mr. J. L. Hawksworth, would be terminated on 31st March next as he is retiring on superannuation.
Mr. Hawkswortli had been clerk to the Board which represents Wombwell, Hoyland, Darfield, Bolton on Dearne, Dearne Urban Council. Great Houghton and Little Houghton, since 1920.
He has had over 40 years in civic work. The Board passed a resolution expressing high appreciation of his services. This
