Six Hundred Receive a Week’s Notice.

Six hundred employees of the Houghton Main Colliery Company yesterday received a week’s notice to terminate their employment.

Most of the men employed at Houghton Main live at Wombwell, Darfield or Great Houghton.

The action of the Company is said to be due to trade conditions
