Darfield Brothers

Two brothers, Thomas and John Wilks, sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilks, of Barnsley Road, Darfield, are both in H.M. Forces. Thomas, who has been in the Air Force for three years, was sent out to Iraq in January.

He says it is very quiet out there. One would not know there was a war on. He is rather wishing he could be sent to France.

His brother John, who is married and resides in Victoria Street, is with an Anti-Aircraft Battery. He was called up while on holiday.

He met with an accident during a mock air raid a few weeks ago, and is still laid up at home with a broken leg.
