Mrs Askin, 24 George St, Low Valley has heard from the War office that her husband private George Askin of the Kings own Yorkshire Light Infantry was killed in action on August 11.

Private Askin was among the early volunteers, and has been in France over three years, being once wounded.

Mrs Askin will be glad to hear anything concerning her husband from any of his comrade
