Signaller Chance

Signaller Sydney Chance, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Chance, of Millhouses, Darfield, has recovered from a slight gas attack, after being in hospital a few days.

In a letter home he says:

“Things are looking brighter now, and it is to be hoped before long, we shall be able to say “Hang the Censor,” and come home and tell you a tale as long as a week.
