of 34 John St, Darfield, recently reported wounded in the head and in hospital in Shrewsbury, died of wounds on May 31 and was buried with military honours at Darfield on Tuesday.

He was 34 years of age, a miner, and leaves two children.

He enlisted in May 1916, went to France last March. He was wounded on May 3.

He worked at Manvers Main before enlistment.
