Military Funeral at Darfield
Private WH Fretwell
(West Yorkshire)
was interred at the Darfield cemetery on Tuesday, with military honours.
Deceased joined the force of May 3, 1916, and had been in France only nine weeks when he received a gunshot wound in the head, been transferred to the Cymfield Hospital, King’s Lynn, near Shrewsbury, when he succumbed to his injuries on May 31st.
The interment was witnessed by a large number of relatives and friends.
