Private James Hall

Mrs Hall, of School Street, has received word that her husband, Private James W Hall (York and Lancaster) has been wounded in the fingers, and is at present in a French hospital.

He writes cheerful letters home, and says his injuries are only slight, and August soon to be well again.

Private all join the Fourth of some 40 months ago and has been in France about 10 months.

Previous to joining the colours, he was assistant schoolmaster at the Darfield National Schools.
