Sapper George H. Northcliffe
(Royal Engineers)

Sapper Northcliffe of Darfield Bridge, has been wounded by the bursting of a shell, which has caused injuries to his feet.

He is at present in the Highneld Auxiliary Hospital at Malton, and is progressing favourably.

He enlisted last October, and has been at the front about 7 months. Previous to enlistment he worked at Houghton Main Colliery.
