Soldier – Perrin, Horace – Wounded in France

December 1917

Mexborough and Swinton Times December 29, 1917

Gunner Horace Perrin
Royal Field Artillery

Gunner Horace Perrin, a younger brother, has just been wounded in France by the bursting of a shell.

He has written a cheerful letter home to his parents, in which he describes how a shell from Fritz burst in the gun-pit and killed one of his comrades, and wounding two others besides himself.

He is at present in a French hospital.

Previous to the war, he worked at Houghton Main.
