Cpl John Whitehead
(East Yorkshire)

was severely wounded on May 5 and has since died.

He enlisted in the York and Lancs at the commencement of hostilities and has seen service in Egypt and France.

His mother has received a letter from the Matron of the Clinic at the hospital saying that her son was admitted with very bad wounds and never regained consciousness.

He leaves a widow and four children.
