Walton Family- Three Brothers Serving

Mr William Walton, of 17 Queen street, Darfield has 3 sons in the Army. He is himself a deputy at Houghton Main Colliery.

Sergeant G. Walton is a wireless operator with the Durham Light Infantry on active service, and Private J. W. Walton is serving with the 12th Battalion of the same regiment.

Lance Corporal H.Walton, who is in training with the 2nd/5th York and Lancaster. enlisted at the age of 16.
