Two Darfield Lads

Cyril and Arnold Worrell, the two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Worrell, of Barnsley Road, Darfield, are both in the Forces.

Cyril (25) (right / bottom picture) joined the R.A.F. some months ago, and after passing each exam he has taken so far at the first sitting, finds himself a first-class rigger.

The food, he says, is excellent, and he loves the life. Before joining the Air Force he was an insurance agent.

Arnold Worrell (24) (left / top picture) , is in the Army, and has been overseas for some months. He has sent his mother a beautiful white skin rug home. He finds the country monotonous, and deplores the short days. In July it was snowing out there.

But these little things will only make him appreciate England all the more, and he thinks his experience will have been worth while.
